Living on the Riviera dei Fiori, geographical threshold between the Mediterranean Sea and the Alpine ranges, requires an architecture able to mediate these two landscapes. A bend of the land, at its most scenic point, allows the house to unfold according to a logic inherent to the site. A front volume, regular, almost modernist, orients itself toward the coastline. A rear volume, semi-embedded in the terrain, turns toward the gardens on the first floor. Between the two, a semi-open patio guides the eye from the receding lines of the terraced slopes toward the foothills in the distance.

The villa sits on the upper portion of the land parcels: a garden area, domestic and intimate. Below lie the fasce—that is, the historic terraces cultivated with broom and olive trees—which remain rural and create a continuous landscape from one estate to another.
